About Naomi

I am a writer and editor in Minneapolis-St.Paul with a B.A. in journalism and reconciliation studies. I work full time as a children’s book editor at a Christian publishing company in Minneapolis.

I’m a writer and managing editor for Books Make a Difference, where I’ve published articles about Lois Lowry and The Giver, the Jane Austen Society, the African Library Project, and Little Free Libraries, among others. I have also been published in Savvy MagazineLillie Suburban Newspapers, the Twin Cities Daily Planet, and Mutuality Magazine. I’m also a regular contributor to the CBE Scroll blog. When I served in AmeriCorps I helped to edit and publish a book of refugee stories called This Much I Can Tell You: Stories of Courage and Hope from Refugees in Minnesota.

I live just outside the border of St. Paul, Minnesota with my husband, Tim. We enjoy watching sitcoms, going for hikes, and hanging out with friends. We are part of an intercultural church plant in Saint Paul. I do a bit of crocheting, piano playing, and blogging (obviously.)  I’ve traveled to eleven countries in Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia. I love reading blogs, following people on Twitter, and drinking chai tea with friends at local coffee shops.
